In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Aarti Sinha

Founder - Wizard of Sound
Aarti Sinha, the founder of Wizard of Sound, has been an active mystic professional, life coach and a healer and has been involved in the field of alternative health and holistic well-being since the past 20 (twenty) years. She is amongst the top few sound healers in India and is the first lady Gong Healer in Central India. She has set a new India record with the India Book of Records for “Mass Meditation with Singing Bowls”, where a total of 1313 participants were led into mass meditation by her.

Anand Rathi

Anand Rathi’s story runs parallel to Madhavan’s character in the movie 3 Idiots, although Anand discovered his true passion not after one but two degrees! Anand grew up between Jodhpur and Jaipur. He was an ace student in his school days and given our social structure and educational system, being good in academics almost inevitably meant gravitating towards engineering or medical sciences. His merit in competitive exams saw him getting selected into one of the most prestigious computer science colleges in India, IIIT Hyderabad. His college life was exciting but somewhere down the line he realized he was not cut out to be an engineer. Although he got campus placement in a very reputed company, he ended up not taking the job! Straight out of college, he dived into the stock market but unfortunately the market dived too! Anand decided to hone his finance skills better by attending an MBA program. He was selected by a prestigious school in New York.

Lucy Plummer

Lucy has previously worked as a writer for The Better India and has spent a year travelling across India with Clap Global visiting schools in various cities and villages to exchange cultural experiences and perspectives with young people and have conversations with them on a variety of topics including sustainable development, human rights, gender equality, peace and non-violence and global citizenship. In August 2019, she was one of 60 global youth leaders invited to take part in the very first World Youth Conference on Kindness organised by UNESCO and the Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP) in New Delhi commemorating 150 years since the birth of Mahatma Gandhi. Lucy was part of the drafting team for the New Delhi Declaration on Kindness for the SDGs, which brought together the voices of more than 1,200 young people from 117 countries calling for a kinder world, and presented to the Hon'ble President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind.

Rajendra Singh

River Rejuvenator
Popularly known as the ‘Jal Purush, Waterman of India’, Dr. Rajendra Singh is a renowned river rejuvenator and environmentalist. He has received numerous accolades like the Ramon Magsaysay Award for community leadership in 2001, Jamnalal Bajaj Award for the use of science and technology for rural development in 2005, and the Stockholm Water Award in 2015. For the last 44 years he has supported the society through his Tarun Bharat Sangh, which he founded in 1975, to construct 11,800 water structures making more than 1200 villages in the country water secure. As a result of his work, 12 rivers in the country have been revived. He believes that water problems can be solved through community involvement, policy, leadership and use of local knowledge to arrive at local solutions and has pledged to make peace in the world through water.

Vibhas Sen

Mr.Vibhas Sen is currently the Head of Brand & Digital at Ellementry, a Marketer, an alumni of Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Sports Diplomat and a Paralympian. He was selected by U.S. Department of State administered by the UT Center for Sport, Peace, & Society and embarked on a "Mission for Inclusion&" across United States as & "Emerging Leaders" of the 2017 Global Sports Mentoring Program (GSMP). Vibhas Sen says “It’s not how much you have, but what you do with what you have”. Having faced a rigid mentality where people believe that Paralympics cannot fence, he is a living example, which makes us realize that we can write the pages of our own life’s book.
