To aspire is to rise up to a great plan, an abundant hope of fulfilling a worthwhile mission. To inspire is to convey a feeling of joining a higher cause, influencing soulful action, says author Jon Mertz. Simply defined, aspire is an individual effort while inspire brings others into the mix. TEDxYouth@LAHSGwalior-2019 thus intends to give a platform to speakers who aspire to inspire with groundbreaking ideas that possess a power to change the world.

Akshat Agrawal

IT Professional, AI Enthusiast
A technocrat with a dual degree in Information Technology, Akshat is an alumnus of LAHS, Gwalior and IIIT Allahabad. Having done his specialization in Intelligent Systems during his Master’s degree, he is passionate about futuristic technology and works in the fields of Artificial Intelligence. His work involves catering to the needs of Scientists and Engineers across the world in both, academia as well as Industrial Research Domains in numerous fields including Artificial Intelligence, Bio informatics, Automobiles, Aerospace etc. His experience with projects like Facial Verification, Spam Detection, Malicious URL Detection, Stock market prediction, Cyber Threat Analysis makes him an intriguing and sought-after speaker. He considers the exposure to extracurricular opportunities, affectionate mentoring by his teachers and brainstorming activities at school to be the building blocks to his success as a professional.

Aman Bhalla

Corporate Leader, Rehabilitation Activist
Aman is an Alumnus of LAHS, Gwalior who has carved his own destiny by using as tools - the successes, failures and experiences that he encountered on his way. He always felt the urge to do his bit to uplift the lives of many from the marginalized sections of our society. He came across this NGO Apne Aap Women’s Collective which was trying with great difficulties to uplift the lives of an extremely marginalised group in our society, sex workers & their families. The stories narrated were heart wrenching.. from the miserable lives that these women and their children were forced to live to how their daughters are stuck in the inter generational cycle of prostitution. He joined AAWC in 2014 as an English & Computer volunteer. Subsequently he has been able to raise around 40 lacs INR & has been able to bring some visibility around the issue. The NGO AAWC, has been able to place 600 + girls in the mainstream society.

Arjun Sharma

Music Composer & Producer
This young and upcoming artist is an LAHS, Gwalior Alumnus creating ripples with his music since he was just 5. Music has not only shaped him professionally but has also nourished and nurtured him in the dimensions known and unknown to his knowledge. He claims that Music in itself has been his Guru, teaching him with a triggered intrigue which seems to have a source similar to the source of the very Universe. Nonetheless, at the Godly hours, Gurus in physical form too have come into his life as catalysts. As a songwriter and composer Arjun has been scoring music for cinema, television series as well as advertisements. He has worked on over 400 hundred advertising projects, award winning documentaries as well as films & theatre. Apart from making music he loves to travel, undertaking journeys both outside and within himself. About his quests he says “A spiritual fuel I seek, something that runs this universe in silence, unseen and unheard”.

Chitransh Sahai

Start-up Entreprenuer, Co-Founder & Director at GoComet.com
An alumnus LAHS- Gwalior is proud of, Chitransh is a young turk who’s name is doing rounds in the international business circuits. He created a buzz when he sold his first start up PLAT to Housing.com, a Softbank backed Real Estate Classifieds Startup valued at US$ 250 Million, in the same year that he passed out from IIT Delhi, while he was still in his early twenties. Today as the CO FOUNDER & DIRECTOR at GOCOMET.COM, he along with his team is busy revolutionizing International Logistics through Digitization. He spent 10 years in LAHS and claims having the experience of meeting the most wonderful people in his life in the form of teachers, friends and seniors during those years. In his own words, “I think the most important influence the school had on me would be an independent thinking ability and a positive attitude towards life” His ventures have been constantly making news in the print as well as electronic media and garnering rave reviews.

Gaurav Anand

Photographer & Film Maker
Gaurav is an alumnus of LAHS Gwalior who discovered photography while still in school, where he didn't find himself to be good at anything else. Soon this discovery turned into a passion for him and he decided to take it up as a career. He had to face a lot of resistance for making this unconventional career choice but his resolve was steadfast. Some five years ago he embarked upon his journey on this road less taken and found the universe helping him in realizing his dream. Beginning with small obscure assignments he went on to work on the globally acclaimed documentary NDTV Lightening the Himalayas and has never looked back. He's driven by intuition and believes that struggle or difficulty is a matter of perception. Artistic pursuits as per him are extremely important as it is a medium that has the power to show a mirror to the society. He says his journey has been beautiful and he would like more and more youngsters to follow their dreams and take up creative work.

Mona Bartar

Microbiologist; Drug Discovery and Biomedical Science Researcher
An LAHS alumna reckoned for her sincerity and graciousness , Mona has always been equally keen about Science as well as Literature the two disciplines that have the power to elevate human existence. Despite having multivariate interests, Science is what she’s passionate about. Digging deeper into the hidden mysteries and opening up new horizons, is what she finds the most challenging. No matter how indifferent work turns out to be, she knows she can keep up with the task, with her strongest asset - sincerity ! Whether it is serious Biotechnological Research or being an Editor, Author , Blogger or Illustrator, she has donned all these hats with grace. Being a Bahai by religion she has also Served as a Volunteer at the Baha'i House of Worship, Lotus Temple, New Delhi. Her ambitious research project carried out at CSIR-NCL, Pune looks at futuristic solutions towards the management of Diabetes which is placed among the most highly occurring diseases of the world.

Prasoon Sapra

Student, School Leader & Amateur Artist
Prasoon is a 17 years old Humanities student of Class XII at LAHS and is also the Head Boy of the school. At school he has always been a keen learner and a sincere & idyllic student. From being a quiet introvert to a versatile sociable being he has come a long way during his years at school. He believes the opportunities provided at school have played a dominant role in his development. He is a keen artist and a budding orator. He draws his inspiration from the culture, history, traditions and diversity of our country India and its great leaders. He asserts “It’s never too late for what you might have been.” Aspiring to be a civil servant, he values rationality, equanimity, perseverance and professionalism the most. Since his childhood he has had a great liking for palaces, forts, monuments, ancient paintings and sculptures, many of which often feature in his creative work. His talk is inspired by his deep admiration for art and architecture of the ancient era.

Shriya Mungi

MBBS Student, Aspiring Poet & Author
An extremely meritorious Final Year MBBS student Shriya is close to realising her dream of being a doctor. But there is much more to her vision of what she wants to be. Reading, writing, oration and recitation are a huge aspect of who she is and how she makes sense of the world. Doing her bit for the society has always been important to her. Today she spearheads blood donation drives, disaster relief missions and initiatives for people with mental health issues with utmost passion and commitment. Balancing academic achievement with creative writing and social leadership, she's the President of the Medical Students’ Union & has won Gold Medals in almost all disciplines of medicine alongside winning poetry competitions. She believes we live to learn and learning is fundamentally enjoyable. Driven by an indomitable will to follow her passion, she suggests that in life we should let curiosity take the wheel.

Shubham Singh

Chemical Engineer, Social Entrepreneur
He developed a curiosity in Science while he was a scholar at LAHS and later graduated from Imperial College of London with a Masters in Science in Chemical Engineering. He co-founded a Start-Up, wherein they developed a pioneering material from the leftover biomass and was invited to the Buckingham Palace by Her Excellency Queen Elizabeth ll for this achievement. He's the founder & CEO of Craste, a TechStars company, founded on the principle of “maximum efficiency, zero waste” and is a global accelerator. Shubham has received various awards for his initiative. Notably, the BIRAC SoCH Innovation award from Minister of Science & Technology and Rural Innovation Award at National Conference on Social Innovation. He is an alumnus of Pitch at Palace, an organization by Duke of York. He's also the founder and President of Gramiksha, a non profit which works on youth mobilization in the educational settings that he set up at the age of 19.
