This TEDx event will be targeted towards youth - specifically a high school audience. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED- like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion. Our event will be held in Chicago at the newly completed and professional quality theater space at Francis Parker School. It is a one-day event (Saturday only) and we anticipate that anywhere from 150-250 students, parents, and educators will be in attendance. “The Eye-Opening Experience” suggests that we as high-school students are either in the midst of or are about to have our own such moments. We have heard that these continue throughout most peoples’ lives!
