In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Anita Sapkota

Anita Sapkota is 23 years young. She love to write and create poetry. Her hobbies include reading, photography, editing videos etc. She is a creative individual who tries to think outside of the box. She would classify herself to be more of an extrovert but that wasn't always the case. In recent years she have overcome many personal hurdles that have seen me on the edge of losing my life, literally. That experience really shaped her purpose in life. Her main priority in life is to Provoke thoughts, Inspire & Entertain ie. PIE. She definitely picture herself to use her experiences to make a positive difference in the lives of others because when she was at her lowest she had others to help her feel empowered- she would like to forward her gratitude and the lessons learnt to others.

Bikesh Lal Shrestha

Bikesh is a recent graduate from CQUniversity. He is originally from Nepal and have lived as an international student for two years. He have been finalist of The Big Idea Competition and Interchange employability competition. He was awarded as the beat results in the unit of innovation and sustainable business. He is also a vlogger, photographer and musician.

Dr. Tobias Andreasson

Dr. Tobias Andreasson is Associate Director, Social Innovation at CQUniversity and he works with academics across the schools to explore ways to embed social innovation into the curriculum. Tobias has a diverse background that includes working with different groups and tackling different social challenges. His studies, research, and practice experience as a Social Innovator have all been shaped by his commitment to transforming social challenges and seek better outcomes for people. For example, Tobias has supported and coached organizations with their social enterprise ideas used generative research tools together with people with disabilities in order to understand their needs, taught design thinking and global politics at universities, engaged men from refugee backgrounds in photography classes to learn about their experiences and led teams working in complex social issues in the community. Tobias has a Ph.D. MA (Research) and a Bachelor of Design (Honours).

Gurnam Singh

Gurnam Singh was born in New Delhi, India. He came to Australia as an international student and has since represented different socio-economic platforms.He has been awarded by the NSW Police for engaging the community and international students. He is an honorary member of the Sydney Cricket Ground, has been awarded for representing the Sikh culture globally. He is the founder of AISECS which promotes and enhances sports, education and cultural investments between India and Australia. He also had the honour to work with most influential individuals in both India and Australia, including both countries prime ministers.As well as volunteering for the McGrath foundation and the Sydney Children Hospital he significantly contributed to a fundraiser for the international charity Khalsa Aid for refugees. His ongoing charity work helps cancer victims and underprivileged kids. Gurnam is an Entrepreneur, a community ambassador, a philanthropist and a fashion influencer. His courage paired with his humble nature make him an excellent leader for the young cricket community in India and Australia.

Olga Saboureau

she don’t have a fear of failure, she have a fear not to live her life. She was born in Russia in 1982, and visited almost 70 countries since then. Goal is to hit 100 at some point. She did charity climb to Kilimanjaro, volunteered for the Red Cross in Kenya, and Doctors Without Borders in Australia. She speaks 4 languages, got two degrees: sociology and physiology of management in Russia and MBA in finance from CQU in Sydney, that is completed with the director award. She has completed full iron-man in Port Macquarie when she was 35 and became certified body pump instructor at age of 37. During my career she had a chance to work for both little startups as well as global leading organizations

Rana Kordahi

Rana Kordahi is determined to make everyone fall in love with selling. She wants to make the word 'sales' to sound hip, rather than taboo. She wants people to be like, 'oh wow you work in sales!' She believes that everyone is a salesperson, whether they like it or not. Because we don't only sell products and services, but ideas, thoughts, opinions and even our personalities. Rana is the founder and director of The Selling Academy and has trained and coached thousands of sales and non-salespeople in the art of sales, influence, mindset and personal development. Including hundreds of consultants at some of the big 4 consulting firms, as well as those who help people with disabilities back into work. Being an NLP practitioner and mindset coach, she combines NLP, mindset, EQ and psychology to sales techniques to take people beyond their sales potential.

Shamane Tan

She is an APAC Executive Advisor for a Cybersecurity firm and a published author. Her book which is now in Amazon and other major bookstores in Asia, contains key insights of successful top C-level leaders from around the globe. Outside of work, she enjoy building communities and as a result, founded the Cyber Risk Meetups which is now in 5 cities with more than 2,200 professionals coming together to exchange knowledge and experience.
