Corey Gray

Lead operator, Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory/LIGO
Corey is part of the team whose founders were awarded the Nobel Prize for Physics in 2017. He is part of the group of researchers that confirmed the existence of gravitational waves, making a major discovery for the fields of astronomy and physics. He is a member of the Blackfoot Nation of Alberta and worked with his mother, Sharon Yellowfly, to translate LIGO press releases into the Blackfoot language.
