In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Harish Iyer

Equal rights activist
Harish Iyer is an LGBTIQ activist and an active voice for a number of causes. He is amongst the prominent voices that had appealed to the Supreme Court against section 377 and won this landmark case. He is the only Indian National to be listed in the British daily The Guardian's list of the 100 most influential LGBT persons in the world. He was awarded the Zindigi Live award for his pioneering work in the field of Child sexual Abuse awareness and the Bharat Petroleum's Energising Bharat award for his work in the field of women empowerment. He has two films based on his life and a book. Besides this, he is an opinion maker, an author, a columnist, a professor , an environmentalist and an animal welfare activist.

Mamang Dai

Poet, novelist and journalist
Mamang Dai is a significant Indian poet, novelist and journalist based in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.She was correspondant with the Hindustan Times, Telegraph and Sentinel newspapers and was the President, Union of working journalist. She also worked with World Wide Fund for nature inn the Eastern Himalaya Biodiversity Hotspots Programme. She received Sahitya Academi Award in 2017 for her novel ‘The Black Hill’. She also received ‘PADMA SHRI’ in 2011. The government of Arunachal Pradesh conferred her Annual Verrier Elwin Prize in 2013 for her book ‘Arunachal Pradesh:The Hidden Land’. Some of the positions that she has occupied comprise General Secretary of Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society, Member of the North East Writers’ Forum and General Council Member Of The Sahitya And Sangeet Natak Academy. Her notable works include ‘ The Sky Queen’, ‘ Stupid Cupid’, River Poems etc.

Sheetal Bhan

Sheetal bhan is a bombay based writer, educator and facilitator.She is an equal rights activist, an agnostic loyalist of Nirguni music and the feminist mother of her nine year old son.She speaks at various forums on the importance of emotional well being and reaches out to those dealing with depression by trying to create safe spaces for healing through non violent and non judgemental communication.Her words drive deep and cut through the chase in her hauntingly beautiful poetry, speeches and short films.Her out of the box approach towards life makes her synonymous with individuality and realness.She is on her way to become one of India's most influential thought leaders through the force of her personality.She has mastered the art of communication and is well known for her unique ability of motivating her audience.She is currently working on exploration of the faculty of touch beyond shame and is a Creative writer at Wild Buffaloes Entertainment.
