Now with two successful events behind us, we are brining TEDx back to our community once again! TEDxYouth@KyivIS is organized by a group of enthusiastic students inspired by the necessity to create an environment filled with learning, discussion, and motivation. Join us as we break silence on February 9.

What is silence? Merriam-Webster dictionary defines it as the "forbearance from speech or noise" or the "absence of sound or noise." However it's more important to note the significance of silence. In a 2013 study, psychologists discovered that a minimum of 2 hours of silence can result in the creation of new brain cells, with links to our learning and recall abilities.
Sometimes... silence can be suffocating. It covers up topics and issues otherwise hidden by society.
We should break the silence.
How? Breaking silence?
Shattering something nonexistent into pieces?
How does that work?
To some it may be a natural instinct, while to others, the hardest task they ever had to face. Yet everyone has some silence to break. We may not notice it, but we all break silence at some point in our lives. No matter big or small.
We all find the courage within ourselves and dig out our ability to shatter the quiet that holds so strong.
This year at TEDxYouth@KyivIS we going to discuss breaking silence together. Join us on February 9.
