Adil Rashid

Musician + Composer + Producer
Musician, composer and producer. Associated with Underground Authority(founder), Euphoria, and Paloma and Adil as well as an independent composer and producer. I have prepared a very relatable analogy about music, with how people converse and how different opinions and perspectives actually come together to contribute to a discussion. Just like in music, the basic building blocks, be it notes or chords or rhythms, can all be compared to speech and expression and makes a more comprehensive understanding of the “language of music”, which is the title of the talk. It fuses the academic approach to music and tried to explain it in context to everyday life. Hoping to make the idea of making music more approachable, and relatable.

Alakananda Roy

Indian Classical Dancer + Choreographer + Trainer + Social Reformer
The name Ms. Alokananda Roy, conjures an image of grace and elegance. Her versatility comes through in her innovative dancing styles and creative stage productions. Taking great pleasure, in being involved with varied creative activities, did never refrain her from extending genuine care and compassion to the society at large. She has always been unprejudiced and non-judgemental. That perhaps, initiated her to adopt the secluded world of convicted individuals in the Correctional Homes of West Bengal, as her arena and work for their welfare, through Dance and Music. Her organization Touch World operates to care for the children of the convicts, deprived of family support. The reward she treasures however is the unconditional love of the millions that she has received and is still receiving. Her sole expectation from the society is understanding, compassion, forgiveness and empathy for the less fortunate.
