In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

.Saad Moazem

Saad Moazam is a senior Mechanical Engineering student and the current President of the Student Engineers' Council. He is also the Project Manager of the Shell Eco Marathon team at TAMUQ.

Alaa Abdalla

Alaa Abdalla is a mechanical engineering senior at Texas A&M university at Qatar. She loves looking at the intersection of design, engineering, and education and will continue to study them in grad-school.

Benjamin Cieslinski

Benjamin Cieslinski is the manager of the Outreach Program at Texas A&M University at Qatar, where he spends his days creating fun and exciting ways to fascinate students with science and engineering. He also works as a chemist, environmental scientist, teacher, and laboratory safety professional.

Bouthaina Al Ansari

Some of Bouthaina’s achievements include: -Being voted 19th by ArabianBusiness.com 100 Most Powerful Aran Women in 2012 -L’Officiel Qatar’s Most Inspirational Arab Woman of the Year Award -Voted 7th by CommsMEA in the top 50 female telecoms executives September 2012 -Senior HR director at Q-tel -Member of MENA business women’s network -Master’s degree in business management and HR strategic planning

Dr. Othman Bouhali

Dr. Bouhali is a research professor and director of research computing at Texas A&M University at Qatar. He got his PhD from Université Libre de Bruxelles in the framework of the Large Hadron Collider project at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN). He was the head of the computing group at the institute of high energies in Brussels where he also contributed to other challenging projects including the AMANDA/ICECUBE telescopes at the South Pole. In 2015 he founded the TAMUQ Advanced Scientific computing (TASC) center gathering faculty and researchers working in the field of large scale simulation and modeling. He was also among the founding committee for the TAMU Data Science Institute (TAMIDS). In 2018 he initiated the Qatar High Energy and Medical Physics Consortium. He played the leading role in the signature of the ICA agreement between Qatar Foundation and CERN.

Farah Altaweel

Farah Altaweel. A Qatari visual communicator with a BFA in Graphic Design from VCUQatar and an MA in Art + Design Education from RISD. Farah is leading Qatar Children's Museum Project brand development process and plays a key role in the gallery design & interpretation process. Farah’s role consists of implementing design thinking, visual communication, and problem solving to provide specialized visual content that caters to a wide spectrum of audiences and their multiple needs as members of the local museum community. Farah Also supports the museum’s Learning and Outreach team by programming, running workshops and sessions for children or educators.

Farah Ramadan

Farah Ramadan is a second year chemical engineering student at TAMUQ. She’s the President of the Aggie Music Organization and is currently student leader of the month.

Mahmoud Al Touny

The talk will be about how three friends came together and co-founded bonocle_co ; the next big thing in assistive technology market - an affordable and portable device that translates digital content to braille. Learn their story of how innovation can lead to empowerment.

Meera Abu Soufah

Meera Abu Soufah is a Texas A&M Chemical Engineer Alumnus, Class of 2016. During her time at TAMUQ, Meera was actively involved in various initiatives on campus, most notably, she served as the President of the Student Government Association (SGA). Alongside many academic accolades and leadership awards, Meera was one of 8 recipients worldwide to receive the International Leadership Grant from the American Institute of Chemical Engineers in the USA. Meera was also a member of Omega Chi Epsilon, the honor society for Chemical Engineering. After graduating, Meera went on to join a multinational company and is currently working in a multi-million dollar project. Today, at 23 years old only, Meera is working as a manager in this organization.

Rashid Al-Heidous

Rashid Al-Heidous is a TAMUQ CHEN'19 student and the current president of chemical engineering honor society (OXE).

Safin Bayess

Safin and I am a sophomore majoring in electrical engineering with a minor in Mathematics. But most importantly, I am the loudest and the proudest member of the Fightin Texas Aggie Class of 2021
