In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Avery Fos

Avery Fos, named after the word “light” in Greek, is a Bornean music duo made up of singer songwriter Phoebe Tsen and producer Elisha Tiga. In the beginning of 2017, they decided to come together to write and record upon the discovery that they had both been on a search for like- minded music collaborators. Little did they know, one week into the writing process, they've recorded an entire EP and thus born Avery Fos. Influenced by the likes of M83, Shura and Wet, Avery Fos crafts mellow, ambient, soundtrack-like music triggered by midi keyboards and drums machines, forming an alternative ambient pop vibe. The upcoming duo released their debut self-titled EP in August 2017. Their latest single, “Y”, has been aired on local radio station KK12FM, as well as being featured on an episode of web documentary “Songs & Stories”. Most recently, the duo was made a SKOWT VIMA Global Music Awards 2018 Best New Acts Nominee. They’re also actively doing soundtrack projects for local short films. When not working together as Avery Fos, Elisha sessions as a bassist and guitarist as well as working as a composer and producer. Phoebe is a solo singer- songwriter, an award nominated actress and sound designer, working closely with Pitapat Theatre.

He believes that the word is alive and all we need to do is just listen. Around since 2010, he organizes international slams such as The Straits and the CEX Slam besides running workshops with Poets Passport Malaysia. He also runs English camps for youths with Englishjer. He's published in 'Malchin Testament - Malaysian Poems' in 2016 and 'Tukang Puisi - Antologi Puisi 55 Penyair Muda Malaysia." in 2018.
