TEDxBTNSchool 2018 was the fourth annual TEDx conference hosted by BASIS Tucson North High School. At this conference, our speakers explored a vast range of topics, from the healing power of art to the Martian horizons we have yet to explore.

Camille is always interested in how to make communications more effective and pleasant, and she puts in effort to figure out how things and people become influential. She always loves to meet and know about different people and she lets these opportunities enrich her life. In her spare time, she loves to listen to music and read.

Leila is 16 and graduating this year as a junior. She hopes to have her own art exhibit with her own art style and is pursuing Journalism in college.

Since Moises was a small child, past ways of life have intrigued him. He has made it one of his goals to learn as much as he can about ancient technology. In his spare time, he is an artist, musician, and car enthusiast.

Nyhel has always been fascinated by astronomy, space, and research about life outside our solar system. In her free time, she likes to read sci-fi books and play basketball with her cat, Cookie.

Reese Moran

Reese has always been interested in ‘retro’ media, the kinds of things his parents were into as kids. He spends most of his time watching cartoons and old movies, drawing, and reading.

Sabina Anderson

Sabina became interested in politics when she binge-watched Scandal on Netflix. She is the president of Asclepian Society and fills her time with basketball, volunteering, and teaching.
