In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Christelle Cuenin

Professional development coach
Christelle Cuenin is a fundraiser and a public speaking coach. A graduate of Grenoble Ecole de Management (France) and of the Georgia Institute of Technology (USA), she started her career in the Telecom industry and spent seven years managing International key accounts. In search of purpose, she transitioned to the Higher Education sector in 2011 and joined the Career Development Team at INSEAD, a leading global Business School. She coached MBA students looking for jobs in the Financial Industry sector for 5 years, and then became a Fundraiser for the Institution. In parallel, she gained extensive experience in public speaking through winning French and European speech contests and participating in improv battles.

Ph.D. in complex negotiation and founder of Institut NERA (www.institut-nera.com), a consulting firm specialized in Negotiation and Conflict Management, we train, assist and advise companies, governmental organizations, and people when negotiations become complex and sensitive. Author of the awarded book "La Négociation d'Influence, Développez votre pouvoir, Déjouez la Manipulation" (Edition DUNOD), he has spent 4 years as negotiation researcher at La Sorbonne. His last researches focus on the different types of power in negotiation and how influence impacts negotiation.

Matthieu Tordeur

Matthieu is a French adventurer, youngest member of the French Explorers' Society. Currently preparing a solo, unsupported and unassisted expedition to the South Pole in 2018. He has driven around the world in a 30-year-old Renault 4 to promote micro finance, run 250 km across the Sahara desert and a marathon in North Korea. He has crossed the Atlantic on a sailing boat and cycled through Europe (twice), China and Pakistan. From Greenland to Iraq and Patagonia, he shares his adventures through articles, books, conferences, films and photographs. He also has lived, worked and traveled in 90+ countries...

Nicolas Plain

Energy Transition Specialist
Nicolas Plain is passionate about climate change, renewable energies and new technologies. After studying climate sciences, at the Ecole Polytechnique, UC Berkeley and Grenoble Alpes University, he joined the COP21 interministerial team at the Ségolène Royal cabinet to prepare and participate in the COP22 in Marrakech. Then, eager to confront himself to the realities of the field and imaginate the solutions of tomorrow that will mitigate greenhouse gas emissions, he created an interdisciplinary PhD subject on new concepts to bring electricity to rural areas in Africa and Asia where more than one billion people do not have access to electricity. Since March 2017, he is travelling to these two continents to give lectures and visit projects in the field to better understand the real needs and expectations of local populations. It is within this framework that he and his research teams are exploring the potential of Blockchain technology to enable universal access to electricity by 2030.
