Dr. Adam Foley

Associate Director, Diversity & Inclusion

Dr. Adam Foley (he/him/his) is a feminist multicultural sexuality educator, researcher, partner, and ally. He currently serves as an Associate Director in University of Delaware’s Office of Equity and Inclusion, as well as teaching Women’s and Gender Studies and Human Sexuality courses at the University. When he isn’t examining the influence of sexuality on education, social policy, media discourse, and identity, you can find him running in the woods for hours on end or curled up with a delicious cup of coffee.

Dr. April Kendra

Assistant Professor, English

April Nixon Kendra is an Assistant Professor in the department of English and affiliate faculty in the department of Women and Gender Studies at the University of Delaware. In addition to courses in British literature, American literature, and the novel, she regularly teaches a course she created on “Vampire Culture: What’s Really at Stake.” Her research interests include 19th-century British literature, women’s writing, construction and reception of popular genres, young adult fiction, challenges to intellectual freedom, and (of course) vampires.

Dr. Georgina Ramsay

Assistant Professor, Anthropolgy

Dr Georgina Ramsay is a socio-cultural and politico-legal anthropologist. She follows a teaching and research agenda that focuses on social justice, critical thinking, and transformative futures. Her work focuses on refugees, citizenship, displacement, violence, and humanitarianism.

Dr. McKay Jenkins

Cornelius A Tilghman Professor, English

McKay Jenkins is the Tilghman Professor of English, Journalism and Environmental Humanities at the University of Delaware. He is the author of eight books, including, most recently, Food Fight: GMOs and the Future of the American Diet and ContamiNation: My Quest to Survive in a Toxic World.

Dr. Steve Mortenson

Associate Professor, Communication

Steve Mortenson is a professor of Communication at the University of Delaware. His teaching and research focus on skillful communication, emotional management, and effective leadership.

Mr. Elon Kline

Undergraduate Student, Interpersonal Effectiveness in Leadership

Elon Kline is a sophomore at the University of Delaware pursuing a degree in Interpersonal Effectiveness in Leadership. Elon is passionate about self-development seen by his pursuit for a future career in motivational speaking.

Mrs. Jessica Jackson

Complex Coordinator, Residence Life and Housing

Jessica Jackson is an education professional who believes in the power of narrative to prompt learning. She is passionate about equity and inclusion and works to increase access and inclusion in educational spaces. She has expertise in authentic relationship building, leadership development, and pedagogy.

Ms. Debra Norris

Unidel HenryFrancisduPont Chair, Art Conservation

Debra Hess Norris chairs the department of art conservation at the University of Delaware and directs the Winterthur/ UD Program in Art Conservation. She has led more than 150 workshops worldwide in Africa, Asia, the Americas, Europe and the Middle East - and authored book chapters and articles on the conservation of photographic materials, emergency response and fundraising for cultural heritage preservation. She is grateful to serve on a multitude of boards and advisory committees centered on education and cultural heritage preservation.

Ms. Gillian Williams

Undergraduate Student, Public Policy

Gillian Williams is a Sophomore Public Policy major with a minor in Organizational and Community Leadership at the University of Delaware. She is an active member of the UD community by her work as a Resident Assistant, President of the American Association of University Women at the University of Delaware, Blue Hen Leadership Program Tier 2, Delaware Diplomat, and Treasurer of Storytelling Club. Gillian enjoys being active in her community and advocating for women’s empowerment.

Ms. Jennifer Daniels, MSW

Associate Director, Diversity & Inclusion

Jennifer is the Associate Director in University of Delaware’s Office of Equity and Inclusion. She has presented on an array of diversity topics ranging from cultural competency and identity affirmation, to intercultural communication. Jennifer is passionate about having a positive impact on the lives of others.
