In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Andrew Hanus

As a veteran USAF K9 Handler, Andrew speaks on the four lessons he has learned from his canine companion – patience, change of behavior, hesitation, and trust.

Azra Ismail

Technology is undoubtedly powerful, and Azra’s research on the healthcare industry in New Delhi, India, reveals the importance of harnessing that power in the right way, and designing technologies around the value systems of the user.

Indra Sofian

Indra’s talk introduces us to the concept of ‘personal inertia’ – the state of remaining unchanged or being unable to change our current behavior due to psychological factors. He reveals how he identified this inertia in his life, how he overcame it, and how we can do that too.

Karima Alkhalid

Karima explores how friendships can be formed based on differences rather than similarities, and the roles empathy plays in doing that.

Suraj Sehgal

Suraj’s talk and spoken-word shares how his years of meditative practice has lent to his perspective on the purpose of life beyond pursuing happiness. His talk focuses instead of life’s inherent value in growth, challenge, and sacrifice.
