At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Akanksha Sharma

CSR Leader, Jubilant Foodworks Peace Advocate
Akanksha is an internationally acclaimed CSR & Sustainability Leader and a ‘Global Shaper of the World Economic Forum’. She is also a Writer, Peace Advocate and a Sustainable Fashion Curator/Model. Noted amongst '100 Most Impactful CSR Leaders Globally' by World CSR Congress; ‘Young CSR Leader’ by India CSR and “Sustainability Leader” by the World Sustainability Forum, She heads CSR and Sustainability for Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd. currently and has worked with UNICEF and Vedanta Resources in the past. With an extensive experience on CSR and Sustainability, she has successfully led community development programs focusing on Poverty Alleviation, Skilling, Nutrition, Education, Health & Sanitation, Agriculture, Road Safety and in various geographies. Akanksha is a published writer for Forbes, Times of India, Economic Times, Huffington Post and Dailyo (India Today) amongst many others on Development and other issues.

Diksha Bijlani

Spoken Word Poet Policy & Research Assistant
A spoken word poet, Diksha is part of the three-member team from Gargi College that won the first-ever National Youth Poetry Slam in India in 2016 and went on to represent India at the international CUPSI Slam in Chicago in 2017. She is currently the first and only India-based poet to be featured on Button Poetry, after she stood runner up in their international contest. She has performed at various landmark events such as India's first Mental Health Festival at AIIMS, Delhi, and India's first spoken word festival ‘Spoken’ in JioGardens, Mumbai. A graduate in Applied Psychology from Gargi College, where she was awarded ‘Best All-Rounder Student’, Diksha currently works as a LAMP Fellow in the office of Member of Parliament Kirron Kher, and aims to unite spoken word with public policy for holistic social transformation. She has been featured across Indian media for her poems, and her most popular works are ‘Dear Ekta Kapoor’, ‘High Functioning Depression’,

Major Neha Bhatnagar

Army Officer, Mt. Everest Summiteer
Major Neha got commissioned in the Army in September 2002 at the age of 20 which is considered pretty early for this field. Major Bhatnagar describes herself as an outdoorsy and adventurous person. She always knew that she wanted to join the air force or the army. Ever since she joined the army in the year 2002, she has seen the number of women in the army increase exponentially. In her technical tenure, the four-time Siachen officer (always ready with a smile) has had the honour of holding the following badges on her crisp uniform—the Everest badge, the Vishisht Seva Medal, three Commendation Cards and a Distinguished Service Medal. She thrives on adventure and Commanded one of two climbing teams of the Indian Army Women Everest Expedition in 2012.

Sandeep Aggarwal

Founder, ShopClues & Droom
Sandeep Aggarwal is a serial entrepreneur, angel investor, internet visionary and philanthropist. He is widely regarded as the father of marketplaces in the Indian Internet ecosystem - having founded ShopClues in 2011 - India’s first managed marketplace, which became 5th Unicorn in Consumer Internet in India & Droom in 2014 - India’s first marketplace for automobiles. Droom is the only auto portal in the world to own the entire ecosystem for automobile with marketplace, pricing, inspection, history and fintech tools. Sandeep is passionate about Digitizing India through mentoring startups, especially on entrepreneurship traits and skills. Sandeep is one of the masters in MTV Dropout, a reality TV show on entrepreneurship and also has an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis and holds a US patent.

Simran Shaikh

Human Rights Activist
A graduate of Mumbai University, Simran is currently working with India HIV/AIDS Alliance in New Delhi as a Programme Officer for Pehchan, a Global Fund-supported initiative strengthening community systems for MSM, transgender and hijra CBOs to improve HIV prevention outcomes in India. She has dedicated her professional life to human rights advocacy and has been a pioneer in India on raising issues faced by people living with HIV (PLHIV) in the context of transgender and hijra communities. She is a strong advocate for the Right to Health for all. Simran was one of the founding members of Dai Welfare Society; the first community-based organisation for hijras in India and has also served on the governing boards of state and national PLHIV networks. She has been a consultant to national and international organisations on issues of gender and sexual minorities living with HIV and intends to continue her work on health & human rights for the most marginalised communities in the future.

Sovesh Mohapatra

Child Scientist, Author
National Child Award winner 2016, Best Child Scientist awardee 2015, and 2 Times National Champion In National Children Science Congress; Sovesh Mohapatra is a child scientist, author, philanthropist and owner of trenchant wits. His objectives revolve around developing technology enabled solutions aimed at putting an end to medical ailments amongst human beings. His notable works include his books that have been published worldwide named "Love Aglow" and "Between Smiles and Tears", and "Oh! Chemistry" which made SIP Malaysia recognise him as the best poet. He has also held World Rank 14 in SIP Abacus and BrainGym and is a 7 Times National Champion in SIP Abacus and BrainGym. He has made immense contributions towards NGOs working for various social issues and founded 'Shozu'; an NPO that aims at helping people during accidents. Other than this, he is passionate about Indian Classical Dance form and enjoys playing guitar and holds a degree in the same fields.

Mr Vinit is India's leading celebrity graphologist (handwriting & signature analysis) who has been practising for the past 16 years. He is the founder of the Graphology Research Institute and has conducted more than 300 workshops in India and abroad. He is a certified graphologist, NLP practitioner, psychological counsellor and mind map practitioner. He also works as a personal life coach for business tycoons and popular celebrities. Mr Vinit also works regularly with private investigators for crime scene investigation. Having analysed more than 50,000 unique handwriting and signature samples, he possesses experience in the field of graphology like none other.
