TEDxLDCE is a day-long, student-organized TEDx event in Ahmedabad and is scheduled to be held on 15th April 2018. Our aspiration is to bring together the bright minds under one roof to give talks that are idea-focused on a wide range of subjects to foster learning, inspiration, wonder and to initiating conversations on the topic that matters. The event will see a bunch of eminent thinkers, artists, innovators, philosophers, performers representing the diversity of the reach of an idea and its reaction in the world.

Aishwarya Majmudar

Playback SInger
Born and raised in Ahmedabad, Aishwarya is a successful playback singer. With over 100 films to her credit in over 20 languages, she is a finesse singer effortlessly singing any genre of music enwinding listeners with her sweetest voice. Having started learning music at the age of 3 and then going on to win major singing completion at 6, there has been no looking back for her since then. Ms Majmudar won the "Chhote Ustaad", awarded by Amitabh Bachchan on 5 April 2008 in the Amul Star Voice of India contest. She was also awarded the "Shahu Modak Award" in 2006, "Power-100" in 2008 and "Sangeet Ratna" in 2009. She was felicitated at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Gujarat for her achievements on "International Girl Child Day" in 2009. She was also commended by the Federal of Indian Association in 2008. Aishwarya was invited by New York's Indian community to sing the American National Anthem, followed by the Indian national anthem for the India Day Parade on 19 August 2009.

A passionate individual with interests in photography, travelling, and mentoring start-ups, he is in a constant pursuit to make things more meaningful step-by-step, he now runs a team of 150+ employees and a full-fledged organization with one aim of ‘Bridging India Internationally.’ He has won many accolades for his business including being mentioned in the Edupredence Coffee Table Book by Sandesh as major contributors to the field of education in Gujarat. He has been awarded the Indian Achievers Award and Youth Icon of the Year from several awarding bodies. Being a convincing communicator he is also a great motivator for his team and those who reach out to him for advice.

Ashwath Hegde

Environmentalist, Forbes 30 under 30
Completing his schooling and college from Mangalore, Ashwath Hegde, a management degree holder saw himself venturing into entrepreneurship while in the pursuit to eradicate the destructions caused by the rising use of plastics. Hegde’s journey began in 2012 when the city corporation of his hometown Mangalore (Now Mangaluru), Karnataka, banned plastic bags. In search of substitutes, he formed an R&D team with the help of a few European friends. Four years of R & D team bore fruit in 2016 when the company launched its first GoGreen Campaign in the State of Qatar. In August 2016 Ashwath Hegde founded “Envigreen Biotech Pvt Ltd” to manufacture India’s first 100% plastic-free substitute to plastic packaging products. His zest for work in the right direction has made him find a spot in the prestigious Forbes’ 30 under 30 list in 2017.

Harshil Shah

Radio Jockey
An enthu-cutlet who is popularly known as RJ Harshil from Radio City 91.1 FM, whose voice you listen to every morning on your way to work or onto the gym. His segments wakes up the city like none others. He’s actively engaged in developing solutions for events and media planning and involved in brand promotions and endorsements at the Radio City. With over almost a decade in the field of Radio- Jockeying, Harshil has a huge fan following and is to an extent responsible for the wide reach of audience they have at Radio City 91.1 FM. He’s a passionate traveler and loves to create videos in his free time.

Madhish Parikh

Youth Activist
Madhish is an alumnus of L D College of Engineering. While being an Engineer, Madhish’s area of interest has always been more inclined towards Social Services. His implausible Social Journey started with National Service Scheme (NSS) as a volunteer. He has been working extensively in almost all possible social sectors like health, environment conservation, blood donations, digital literacy, education, youth empowerment and much more. For his outstanding community welfare services, he was honoured with "IG NSS Award" by Honourable President of India in 2014 at Rashtrapati Bhawan. Under Government of India’s obliging scheme, Madhish has been selected as an Indian Delegate to Bahrain in December 2015 and represented India at an International Level. Fulfilling this big roll of gratitude, Madhish added up with a "National Youth Award" by Government of India which also makes for the highest tier award of the nation in the enthralling youth category.

Manan Shah

Ethical hacker, Cyber Security Specialist
All of 24 years old, Manan Shah is a renowned and most probably the country’s youngest ethical hacker and cybersecurity expert. He is a part of Microsoft's top 100 security researchers in the world and has even won the title of MVP- Microsoft Most Valuable Professional. Manan has found and reported vulnerability (bugs) in numerous web applications of Twitter, Yahoo!, Facebook, Nokia, Blackberry, PayPal, Skype, Dropbox, Google, and many more. Manan is CEO and co-founder of Avalanche Global Solutions an enterprise cyber security solutions provider, headquartered in Vadodara, India and has client existence across the globe. His clients' list consists Novartis, Sail, Reliance, Bayer, Rogers, ITC, Pepsico, JSW, Adani, Sun Pharma, GE, ABB, L&T, Gail, ONGC, Honeywell, and several others. He has also authored four books on cybersecurity and ethical hacking.

Neelam Tewar

Leadership Trainer, Business Strategist
Neelam Tewar is an international speaker, leadership & communications trainer and business strategist with over 15 years of award-winning experience in digital marketing for major brands in the US and Europe. She moved to India to work on her NGO start-up, invisible threads ® which aims to reform education by offering mentorship and vocational skills to young Indian adults. Giving up her corporate life in NYC, she now travels, works, teaches and holds her workshops around the world, while she fully revels in her soul's mission: to heal, guide, inspire and motivate thousands daily, and someday, millions into wholesome, transformed and epic lives. Neelam also moonlights as a poet. She is the author of Kairos- a collection of her work. Neelam is thrilled to be in India to enhance her literary body of work and is looking forward to taking in new perspectives about her own heritage and hopefully adjusting to the weather, too.

Nikhil Paralikar

Nikhil, popularly known as the ‘Tabla Guy’ is a percussionist, musician, composer, performer par excellence. He has risen to fame via social media and is now a Social Media Influencer from Hyderabad. Nikhil has created a hype like no one else with the traditional; Indian Instrument of Table across the nation. Having started learning Tabla and music since the age of 5, he went on to represent India on an International Platform Living Talent held in Dubai in December 2017. ‘The Tabla Guy’ is creating all the right kind of amusement with his brilliance on the percussion instruments. Apart from the tabla, Nikhil is a passionate Cajon player as well.

Hailing from Kolkata, Nitasha is the winner of India’s first transgender beauty contest in India, a one of a kind of beauty pageant for Trans people. Fighting all the odds and high tides, Nitasha proudly represented India at Miss International Queen 2018. From being a young schoolboy at St. Xavier's to being a young lady bagging the top 15 at the Talent Quest at MIQ, Nitasha is now onto pursuing a path to sensitize people about the Trans community within the country. As a Trans-model and stylist, Nitasha has paved her journey in this industry as smoothly as possible because of her hard work. She is here to stay and rise, breaking all the glass ceiling with the zest of fight always on!

Pratik Sinha

Breaking down one fake news at a time, Pratik Sinha is killing propaganda. He is the Founder of ALTNews.in, a fact-checking website launched to combat the rise of fake news in the country. They serve as an antidote to fake propagandists that have established in social media as well as mainstream media. A software engineer by profession, Sinha was invited by Google News Lab Asia-Pacific Summit 2017 in Singapore to discuss possible solutions to combat fake news. It is a non-profit initiative registered under the name ‘Pravda Media Foundation’ and funded by Pratik Sinha himself.
