In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Ariel Fishman

Vice President of Academic Program Planning, Development, and Approval at Fordham University
Following a serious car accident in 2012, Ariel has served as a volunteer speaker for the New York Blood Center and Challenged Athletes Foundation and been credited with raising over 1,000 blood donations. He currently works at Fordham University, having previously worked as an administrator and faculty member at Yeshiva University.

Arielle Zellis

Student
Arielle Zellis is a student at Stern College for Women majoring in Psychology. Arielle volunteers with many organizations involving the elderly and individuals with special needs, such as HASC and Music Vs. She is a volunteer piano player at Mount Sinai Hospital and at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She is also a volunteer at Gigi’s Playhouse, a down syndrome achievement center. Arielle has written articles for the Huffington Post as well as for themighty.com regarding her volunteer experience.

Jesse Itzkowitz

Professor of Marketing
Jesse Itzkowitz is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Yeshiva University’s Sy Syms School of Business. Before joining Yeshiva University in 2009, he earned two PhDs from the University of Florida in Marketing and Cognitive Psychology and his subsequent research intertwines the two. Jesse has presented at a number of conferences including Society for Consumer Psychology, Society for Judgment and Decision Making, Cognitive Science and Psychonomics.

Mark Weingarten

Rabbi
Mark Weingarten is a rabbinc student in the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary and serves as the Rabbinic Fellow at the Lincoln Square Synagogue. As the founder of Music Vs., a widely popular movement, which uses the arts to create intergenerational conversation, Mark has spread its influence to the international stage, founding chapters in Israel, Uganda, and South Africa. The Queens native graduated from Yeshiva College with a double major in Biology and History and was valedictorian of the class of 2015.

Monica Dugot

Director or Restitution at Christie's
Monica Dugot is Senior Vice President, International Director of Restitution at Christie's, coordinating restitution issues globally from her New York base in the Chairman’s Office. Ms. Dugot and her global team work with specialist departments and with the art law group to investigate provenance between 1933 and 1945; to identify possibly spoliated but unrestituted objects; and to help in resolving restitution claims for works consigned for sale. Prior to joining Christie's, Ms. Dugot served for almost eight years as Deputy Director of the New York State Banking Department's Holocaust Claims Processing Office (HCPO), where she coordinated the Art Claims branch of the HCPO's work and assisted owners and heirs in seeking to recover art collections that were lost or looted during the Nazi era.

Shy Krug

Psychologist
Shy Krug is a clinical psychologist who treats US military veterans and their families. A practicing magician for over 10 years, Shy has performed and lectured for a wide range of ages and audiences in both entrainment and academic venues.
