[In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxYouth@BarringtonChristianAcademy, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxYouth@BarringtonChristianAcademy event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
Join BCA seniors Julia Aguiar, Marshall Kirk, and and Rachel-Rose Komanapalli for engaging talks on critical issues of our day, from human trafficking to fetal malnutrition to the role of computer technology in our educational system. In what ways can individuals, communities, and institutions undergo metamorphoses in these challenging contexts? These talks are the result of intensive research and field-work. Refreshments will be provided.
