Maastricht-LAB organises on Monday 18th of May 2015 TEDxMaastrichtSalon: an official TEDx event which will focus on the city and urban development. During an afternoon program we will inspire our guests with stories, projects and ideas. And approach the development and experience of cities from a new perspective. Beatrice Puijk & Raymond Brouwers

Beatrice Puijk works as an artist in different interdisciplinary teams on creative solutions for social issues. Raymond Brouwers worked for the province of Limburg and for the last three years, Raymond has been working on film sets as a lighting technician. Beatrice and Raymond both used to live in the building where the first Urban Street Forest was planted.

Andreas Kinnegin

Andreas Kinneging is Professor of Legal Philosophy at the University of Leiden since 2004. Before that Andreas worked at the thinktank of the Dutch liberal party (VVD), the Ministry of Finance and as ghostwriter of Frits Bolkestein, political leader of the VVD from 1990 until 1998. In 1999 he founded the Edmund Burke Foundation.

Caroline de Jager

Caroline de Jager is founder and owner of her own company 3isacrowd since 2008, a business specialized in redevelopment projects and PopUp Concepts. In 2011 Caroline founded the Dutch platform Popupsquare and from 2012 until 2014 Caroline was leading member of the Bikini Berlin development and retail leasing team.

Daan Melis

Daan Melis is (co-)founder of companies as BRAINS FOR CHANGE, the local magazine SOEPS and a multidisciplinary design studio EDHV. Since 2011, Daan has been working for the city marketing organization Eindhoven365 to lead the process of building the new Eindhoven brand.

Farid Tabarki

Farid Tabarki is the founding director of Studio Zeitgeist since 2000. Farid has been proclaimed Trendwatcher of the Year 2012-2013 and in 2013 and 2014, De Volkskrant listed him among the 200 most influential people in the Netherlands.

Riccardo Marini

Riccardo Marini is director of Gehl Architects in Copenhagen, Denmark. Riccardo is an Architect and Chartered Town Planner with a deep knowledge of developing people-centred solutions. He is certain that the path to health, happiness, wealth and wellbeing is one that puts people, their culture and art central to our planning process.

Vincent Michel

Vincent Michel is founder of The Barbershop and Co. in The Hague, an alternative and sustainable business incubator. Before that Vincent worked in the financial sector for ING Investment Management and East Pacific Trading Sàrl.

Vincent Taapken

Vincent Taapken is entrepreneur and business innovator. In 2009 Vincent founded his cross­disciplinary company New Industry Development in response to the traditional real estate and urban planning culture, in order to regenerate urban areas and give new life to old buildings.
