In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Rachael Rae Lee

Rachael been dancing for her whole life, since she was 3. Rachael started off learning classical ballet and that is all the dance she did until the age of 8, when she started learning hip hop. It wasn’t until Rachael was 12, that one of her old dance teach- ers invited her to perform in a piece for the 85th anniversary of the Peninsula Hotel. She met some really amazing dancers and realized that there was a lot more to learn. Now 14, Rachael has explored many styles of dance, ballet, contemporary, modern, hip-hop, jazz, tap and Chinese. During a busy school week, she dances for about 10 hours a week. In Rachael’s mind, dance and friends are truly the best combination in the entire world: the encouragement and the support is amazing and is why she truly loves dance.
