In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Ali Al Soufi

Dr. Ali Al Soufi is an assistant professor at the University of Bahrain. He earned his PhD in computer science in 1994 from Nottingham University, UK. Dr. Al Soufi has worked for Bahrain Telecom Co. for eight years as a Senior Manager of Application Programme, and since 2009 he is a PT consultant for Bahrain e-Governement Authority in the area of Enterprise Architecture, Strategic ICT Planning and Governance. Dr. Ali Al Soufi’s specializes in Strategic IT Planning and Governance, IT project management, Enterprise Architecture, and Information Systems in Organizations.

Ali Esbai

Ali Esbai is a multi-talented Bahraini artist who has become one of the most sought after performers across the region. A stand up comic, writer, voice actor, and martial artist. He has shared stage with a number of international comedy stars like Omid Djalili, Maz Jobrani, and Erik Griffin. Along with most of the regional comedy stars in the Arabian Gulf. He is also the man behind the recently established Misfitz Comedy sketch group. Ali is continuously evolving and enhancing his skills. He is a true believer in human potential.

Amy Morgan

Amy Morgan is an entrepreneur, strategic facilitator and CEO of Unisono, the most highly awarded branding consultancy in the Middle East. With a life mission to inspire “positive transformation”, underpinned by a degree in Philosophy and Politics and training in various holistic arts, Amy spent much of her life changing herself and those around her to discover and achieve their potential. Her positive spirit and “transformational tool kit” are sought out by corporates seeking differentiating and empowering strategies, as well as individuals looking to find direction, inspire change and unlock potential in their personal lives. Amy’s clients range from large financial institutions, to start-ups and individuals. She is a British citizen residing in Bahrain.

Ghadeer Al Khenaizi

Ghadeer Al Khenaizi is an architect and sustainability activist. Her wide breadth of interests includes architecture, the environment, writing, visual arts and cultural heritage. Ghadeer runs an activist youth initiative “Tri Bahrain” to promote sustainable lifestyle environmental principles. In addition, she co-directed an independent non-profit initiative “Mawane” a small-scale platform for experimental urban research in various locations along the Bahraini coastline. Ghadeer is also a fellow of the American Middle East Network for Dialogue at Stanford (AMENDS), connecting youth change agents from across the Middle East, North Africa, and United States to share their ideas and experiences with the world.

Huzeifa Adamally

Huzeifa Adamally is a curious researcher who is seeking answers to questions that few think of asking. With nearly a decade of experience in the consulting and training field, Mr. Adamally has experienced at a young age the feeling of having both feet in deep-waters of the corporate world and therefore aims to create a more merit based world. Huzeifa grew up in the beautiful tropical island of Sri Lanka and is currently based in Bahrain.

Noof Khonji

Noof Khonji is the founder of ThinkFarm a boutique innovation consultancy based in Bahrain. She has a background that combines business thinking with design insight and communication. With more than 10 years’ experience Noof’s expertise lies in being a change agent across brands and organizations paving the way for the organic growth of a company. She currently works with various start-ups and businesses across the region to develop their own brand, innovation strategy and organization to create sustainability in an ever-evolving market.

Shooq Al Shawi

Shooq Al Shawi is a Marketing Consultant specializing in Fashion, Luxury Goods and Building Brand Value. Prior to consulting, Shooq worked within Retail, Business, Product, and Market Development at Louis Vuitton Paris and London, as well as Maison Pierre Hardy where she worked within the Commercial Team selling to global retailers. Today, she liaises between her offices in Paris and Bahrain, consulting for brands with the mission of bridging the Middle East to the World and back.

Suhail Al Gosaibi

Suhail Ghazi Algosaibi is an award-winning serial entrepreneur, startup investor and mentor, author, marketer, consultant, speaker, and activist based in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He is a dedicated student of conflict resolution and peace-building and is passionate about promoting civil dialogue in Bahrain. He is the Founder and Chairman of the Bahrain Foundation for Reconciliation and Civil Discourse (BFRCD). He is also a proud member of Entrepreneur Organisation (EO). In TedxSakhir Suhail gave an inspiring speech about what makes a true leader.

Yousif Al Ghawas

Yousif Al Ghawas is a Brand Strategist based in Bahrain who witnessed the Millennial brand boom of the GCC, allowing him a unique perspective of cross-cultural branding and emerging Arabian identity. As a Brand Strategist, Yousif consults with businesses, governments and individuals on developing their brands and products to establish recognizable, likable and ultimately successful brands. Yousif’s main focus is to humanize brands and make them relatable, engaging and vital members of society.
