Andrzej Ostrowski

Andrzej Ostrowski, Ph.D. is a social philosophy lecturer in the Institute of Philosophy, University of Wrocław. In his work he concentrates on issues concerning relations between social identity, body and space. His second field of interest is the university as a social phenomenon. He is also managing director in Wroclaw University Rector’s office. After work he polishes his kendo skills and does many others sport activities.

Barbara Mróz-Gorgoń

Barbara Mróz-Gorgoń, PhD. – an academic passionate about fashion and design marketing. Her research areas include new trends and challenges in marketing. She is particularly interested in branding. Her story? A girl with a great love for music; a promising pianist, some said. And then, she met another pianist, her age but more talented – a true artist. At that moment she decided that she would not become yet another average musician. She needed to find something else that she could share with people.

Jakub Sukiennik

Jakub Sukiennik has completed a PhD course Wrocław University of Economics this year. Both his doctoral thesis and scientific interests focus on drug market. Jakub spends his free time as a barman, fire-walking instructor, cyclist, footballer. He is also a college fellow (he teaches microeconomics) and an outstanding snooker player (he played snooker one time).

Jenny Siu

Jenny Siu graduated in Business and Economics at the University of Southampton five years ago, before venturing into the corporate world. Being a Spaniard from Gran Canaria with Chinese heritage, now residing in Wroclaw and working for Google, Jenny is no stranger to adapting to cultural differences. Passionate about education and youth community, she has organized the first two editions of TEDxYouth@Wroclaw as well as ten editions of OpenCoffeeWro in Wroclaw, overcoming language and cultural barriers. She believes in identifying using your individual strengths to overcome obstacles and becoming an outlier.

Kamil Bartczak

Ever imagined how it would be to become a protagonist in an action movie, a medieval knight or a celebrity? It’s possible, there are people who do this every day. Live action roleplaying games (larps) can be much more than entertainment. Their ability to change perceived reality can have a great use in learning, dealing with social issues and self-development. Kamil is the organizer of highly acclaimed and controversial larps such as “Larp about Ghosts”, “Fight Night”, “Chaos in the PRL”. His larp “The Wake” won the first prize in a major Polish larping competition. In the past he organized the outdoor roleplaying game “Fantazjada”. Kamil lives in Wrocław and works in IT as an analyst.

Konrad Kocowski

Konrad Kocowski - student of electronics at Wrocław University of Technology. Founder and president of students scientific association Just Everybody Drone It (JEDI), researcher and coordinator of scientific projects. In love with coffee, dogs and new technologies. Open-minded, demanding and always busy. Doesn't run away from any problems - tries to solve them in a creative way. In free time serves great coffee in a cosy coffee house.

Magdalena Derejczyk

Magdalena Derejczyk – traveller, coach, educator, life-surfer… Known as an author of blogs: www.szlakprzezswiat.pl and www.szlakiswiata.blogspot.com. She has visited 50 countries. She has travelled 2000 kilometres across the Andes by bicycle, has visited a canyon twice deeper than Grand Canyon, has ridden a motorbike over the highest driveable pass. What is more, she is a motorboat hitchhiker. Magdalena has lived in India for six months. Her last journey through the Caribbean, South America and Asia lasted 11 months and made travelling her lifestyle. She currently builds people’s cultural awareness by organizing workshops and lectures focused on multiculturalism and travel. She is trying to broaden minds, build tolerance and attitude of openness.

Marcin Bornus

Although Marcin Bornus-Szczyciński has always been a musician, there was a time when he started to hate the violin and, consequently, music in general (as a result of attending music college). He promised himself to be done with music. Then he graduated in econometrics at University of Warsaw and started teaching management. In the meantime, enticed by a woman to University of Warsaw Academic Choir, he came back to music and completed his education in this area. One day he left university forever and started the life of a full time musician. As an owner of a rare, high voice, he has sang as a soloist in most of European early music bands. What is more, he has taught the Black Monks Gregorian singing for 20 years. Currently he is the cantor in one of Warsaw churches, where he sings during the service. Monika Hajdas

Monika Hajdas is an assistant professor in the Department of Marketing Management at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Economics in Wroclaw. She is a born optimist and believes that great brands can make not only profit for themselves but also change social and cultural landscape for better. She combines scientific work with business practice. As a brand consultant she has worked with many national and international companies in industries such as food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, luxury products, building materials, trade, training and educational services.

Ola Dykta

Ola is interested in second language learning and acquisition. She is the co-author of the first Polish online coursebook, a book approved by the Ministry of Education and now used in schools. For five years she has been working in the field of e-learning. The winner of the prestigious European Language Label award and Head Methodologist at Funmedia Ltd. Ola works as Ambassador for Pioneers - an organization that gathers enthusiasts of new technologies all over the world. She hosts their events in Wroclaw.

Roland Zarzycki

dr Roland Zarzycki - PhD in mathematics and PhD candidate in Social Sciences at the University of Wroclaw. Academic teacher, researcher, author, speaker at international conferences, coordinator of scientific projects. Co-author of Wroclaw's successful bid for the title of European Capital of Culture 2016. Co-founder of the PANATO co-op, 2B Fair foundation and other cultural and social initiatives. Interested in social impacts of cultural development, social economy and critical political thinking. Publicist, activist, vegetarian.
