ABOG

A Bunch of Guys is the men's a capella group from Mountain Brook High School.

Bergin Hairston and Lindsey Kate McElroy

Bergin and Lindsey Kate are 4th graders at Cherokee Bend. Bergin plays lacrosse and enjoys lots of creative academic work. Lindsey Kate is a soccer player and a passionate friend.

Callie Davis, Wilder Hines and Charles Vaughan

Callie, Wilder and Charles are all 5th graders at Cherokee Bend. Callie and Charles speak from the perspective of two students placed in the gifted enrichment program alongside Wilder who comes at this topic from a typical student's perspective.

Rosemary Cabaniss & Mills Prater - Care to Share

Rosemary and Mills are two 4th grade girls who wanted to run a project to help those in need in their community. They share the story of a failed project and what they learned from the experience and how that led them to a successful project.

Rosemary Cabaniss and Mills Prater - Care to Share

Rosemary and Mills are two fourth graders who set out to make a difference for those less fortunate, but they learned the hard way that you need to really plan and work with community leaders to implement a successful project. Rosemary and Mills learned how to create a successful project and share how they got it going after learning from a failed experience. Their story is uplifting and encouraging and funny too!

Una Voce

Mountain Brook High School's women's a capella group, Una Voce, meaning one voice, because their many different voices come together to make one sound. Una Voce visits 5th and 6th grade female students in their school system and talks with them about social pressures, developing interests, not letting others hold you back and identifying values and living so that actions are congruent with values.

Chip Porter

Chip is an eighth grader at Mountain Brook Junior High School and a member of his school's TED Ed Club.

Garrett Huddleston

Garrett is a 6th grader at Cherokee Bend who has many interests, but discovered he was a young film maker one night when he found his parents' video recording and made a movie.

Jan Mattingly

Jan Mattingly is an educator and the Chief Education Officer of Dynamic Education Adventures. She presents intriguing science lessons with fire, fizz and boom that entertain young children and adults alike. She has earned the title "The Science Lady" in the Birmingham area.

Joseph Moellinger

Joseph is a 5th grader at Cherokee Bend who loves to play chess, play with his little brother and work on projects.

Katie Wyatt

Katie is a 4th grader at Cherokee Bend. She is interested in puppies, gymnastics, dance, reading, math and acrobatics.

Malik Kofi

Malik is an eighth grader who spends a lot of time studying music. He comes from a family of musicians and has a very busy schedule of practicing the cello, piano and percussion instruments. All the while, Malik is a kid and enjoys getting time to spend with other kids.

Rachel Lebensburger

Rachel is a 4th grader at Cherokee Bend who loves to dance and enjoys being on stage. Rachel has a strong interest in protecting our natural environment.

Sedona Segers

Sedona is a 4th grader at Cherokee Bend. She loves to read, enjoys writing, knitting, coding and dachshunds. Sedona shares a deep personal story in her talk.

Virginia Kate Brandt

Virginia Kate is a 5th grader at Cherokee Bend Elementary School in Mountain Brook, Alabama. Virginia Kate loves learning, takes piano, dance and practices Spanish at home. She also loves to play with her dog!

Zachary Touger

Zachary is a 4th grader at Cherokee Bend whose interests are in lacrosse, technology, math and science.
