AAS
x = independently organized TED event

Theme: Living Locally. Thinking Globally.

This event occurred on
December 18, 2014
7:30am - 2:30pm MSK
(UTC +3hrs)
Moscow, Moskva
Russia

In 2013, TEDx AAS presented the nuances of Our Developing World, examining the growth of our planet and of human civilization through the lenses of economists, physicists, and philosophers of all ages.

This winter, we aspire to address a new approach: that of Thinking Locally and Acting Globally, a mindset exemplary of the missions of both TED and the Anglo-American School of Moscow and one that emphasizes the importance of making changes in one’s world whilst retaining a sense of community.

TEDx AAS invites students and teachers alike to participate in a community-wide discussion featuring accomplished student, staff and invited speakers… to engage in discourse on a wide range of issues, including the impact of sexism in secondary education and the use of social cohesion in reigniting the fire of history… and to collaboratively deconstruct pressing questions and celebrate successes within our society and community.
