The Saxophone Quartet of the Music Conservatory of Sintra was established in the academic year 2010/2011 under the discipline of Classe de Conjunto, in order to provide Saxophone students of this institution new experiences that will not only allow the actual contact with the professional world of music but, as well as the development of its practice in instrumental groups of chamber music.
Since its formation the Saxophone Quartet has made frequent presentations, either in internal hearings of the Conservatory and in public recitals, participating regularly in music concerts promoted by Fonoteca Municipal de Lisboa, at 1001 Musicians initiative in CCB, concerts at the Monastery of Jerónimos, conferences, among others. At the International Festival of Sax Palmela in 2012, starred in an embedded programming in Espaço Escolas.
