“Locally engaged, globally connected” is the theme for our event, and a point of reference for each TEDxVUW talk.
But what does it mean to be “locally engaged, globally connected”?
It recognises contributions or concepts by Kiwis at the local level that have significance to the wider world. Our speakers embody this theme, they have been recognised internationally for the work they have produced, but remain steadfastly involved in the local community.
Our aim is to provide Victoria students, who are amongst the brightest and best up-and-comers, with the drive to draw from the world around them and to invest themselves at a local level!
