De alfabetos simples a línguas de símbolos secretos, o designer gráfico Saki Mafundikwa celebra as muitas formas de comunicação escrita em todo o continente africano. Ele destaca a história e o legado incorporados nas palavras escritas e nos símbolos, e exorta os designers africanos a criar a partir dessas formas gráficas, para que tenham a inspiração renovada. Tudo se resume em seu glifo ganense favorito, "Sankofa", que significa "retorne e entenda" — ou "aprenda com o passado".
