About this event

TEDxPeachtree is a an annual multi-sensory experience that brings together business and civic leaders, organizers, artists and other creatives from the metro Atlanta area for one day of networking, discussion and sharing.

Event speakers each year are curated around a central theme and for 2013, we are curating speakers around the theme: “Catalyze.”

Catalysts are agents of change. They are people, events or things that as a result of their actions or nature, bring about change to the status quo. Catalysts can also accelerate change that is already taking place.

Examples:
Tunisian street vendor Tarek al-Tayeb Mohamed Bouazizi's act of self immolation is widely credited to have been the catalyst which brought about the Tunisian Revolution in 2010. The mapping of the human genome sparked a renaissance in medical and scientific research.

TEDxPeachtree 2013 is looking for ideas and projects that have been impacted by catalysts as well as individuals who have had a catalytic effect on others, projects and event movements.

As always, we welcome ideas from all disciplines and not just technology, entertainment and design. If you know someone who has an idea worth sharing on the TEDxPeachtree stage, please visit tedxpeachtree.com and fill out the short nomination form.
