A dynamic group of 11-19 year-olds courageously stood in the public spotlight and presented their ideas for the future to an audience ready to be inspired at the first ever TEDxNextGenerationAsheville. These youth are the next generation of thinkers, artists, scientists, social activists, leaders and entrepreneurs. Their passion excited an in-person and online audience of adult and youth community members and leaders who are ready to work together towards positive change in our world. TEDxNextGenerationAsheville is an interactive, multi-media forum spotlighting some of the region’s most creative, inspiring, out-of-the-box young people presenting ground-breaking performances and their passionate dreams and ideas for the future.

The hosting City of Asheville, located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina and known for its natural beauty, vibrant academic, scientific and arts community, numerous historic and architectural attractions, diverse outdoor adventures, and progressive residents, is well suited to raise the bar and collaborate with talented youth to launch their ideas into action for the benefit of local and regional communities.
