About this event

Although only 1 square mile in size, Waikiki is the undisputed center of economic activity for Hawaii, directly responsible for over 6% of the GDP, 7% of the tax revenues and 6% of the employee payroll for the State of Hawaii. As the leading generator of tourism, Waikiki provides more than 50% of all revenues from tourism.

TEDxWaikiki seeks to enhance and expand the discussion of the recent "Waikiki 2020" conference (October 16, 2012) hosted by the Waikiki Improvement Association (WIA) to vision the next chapter of Waikiki's evolution.
