Ciągle się słyszy, że firma XXI wieku powinna myśleć o sobie jak o wspólnocie, ale jaki właściwie wpływ ma takie podejście na przywództwo? Zbyt często myślimy o przywódcy jako o osobie jedynie wydającej polecenia, jednak nowoczesnego lidera coraz częściej charakteryzuje umiejętność motywowania i inspirowania ludzi (może nawet manipulowania nimi) w bardziej subtelny sposób niż dotychczas. W czerwcowej odsłonie TEDxKrakówCinema przyglądniemy się relacji pomiędzy przywódcą a jego podwładnymi, zastanowimy się jak ta relacja zmienia się we współczesnej Polsce.
Naszym kuratorem będzie w tym miesiącu Łukasz Cioch, lider kierunku Zarządzanie w Wyższej Szkole Europejskiej im. ks. J. Tischnera oraz dyrektor generalny Centrum Analiz Energetycznych WSE. Absolwent filologii angielskiej UJ, wiele nauczył się o zarządzaniu dzięki badaniu ekranizacji szekspirowskiego Ryszarda III na potrzeby swojej pracy magisterskiej. Poza tym jego głos może wydać Wam się znajomy, bo był tłumaczem i komentatorem ślubu księcia Williama i Kate dla TVP1 w 2011 r.

Join us for the June edition of TEDxKrakówCinema. As usual, we’ll be showing several TED Talks on the topic, followed by a discussion and then an informal networking session over a few beers downstairs.
This month's theme is "leadership". We're being told that companies in the 21st century might think of themselves as modern tribes, but what does this mean for the very idea of leadership and how it evolves? All too often we think of the leader as the person at the top giving orders, but modern leaders have to understand and anticipate the very fabric of change ahead of others, they “think different”, embrace innovation, combine infinite complexity with the elegance of a simple solution, see beyond, motivate and inspire (maybe even manipulate) in far more subtle ways than ever before. In the June edition of TEDxKrakowCinema we will look at the relationship between the leader and those being led, and how this might be changing in modern Poland.
Our guest curator this month is Lukasz Cioch, Head of the Management Faculty a Tischner European University and General Director of the Tischner European University Centre for Energy Studies (TEUCES). An MA graduate of the UJ Institute of English Philology, he says that (prior to six years and four jobs in a hyper-dynamic corporate environment) he learnt a lot about management, particularly its unique psychology, from writing his master's thesis on the cinematic adaptations of Shakespere's Richard III. As he puts it, there is probably more Shakespeare in modern corporations than there was in Renaissance England. You may recognise his voice from when he provided the live commentary and translation for the TVP1 transmission of the Royal Wedding of William and Kate in 2011.
