Hammad Siddiqui is a passionate blogger and an expert in the field of institutional capacity building. He is working as Deputy Country Director at Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE). Prior to joining CIPE in 2006, Hammad was head of trade and investment at British Deputy High Commission in Karachi, a career of 17 years.
He has written over 300 articles on entrepreneurship, social media and policy reforms. He loves to interact with youth and mentor them on entrepreneurship development. He is well traveled and worked on various international projects including women entrepreneurship development and also spoke at numerous domestic and international events. Hammad is the only Asian who has qualified from Institute for Organization Management, UC Chamber of Commerce.
Fariha Rashed is the enterprising CEO behind the quarterly hip entertainment magazine INK, which is both a print as well as an online publication. Under her, INK, which was launched in 2008, has not only made a name for itself locally, but as a result of demand through subscriptions, is now also being shipped abroad every quarter, and will soon be available in Dubai. In the past, Fariha has been a freelance writer for various local and international publications for several years, commenting on a diverse array of topics such as theater, fashion, advertising and social issues to name a few. It is from this time onwards, that her interest in launching her own publication at some point, began. She completed her Masters in Mass Communication from Kinnaird College in 2007, and did what is equivalent to a Bachelors, from Pakistan Institute of Fashion Design [PIFD] in 2003. Fariha has worked for a top Energy Drink brand as National Communications Manager till recently. Taking her entrepreneurial interest one step further, she’s recently launched her PR Consultancy called Pitch Media Inc., which she runs jointly with her partner Haroon Khan and through it, loves indulging in some creative projects with well known brands. Fariha looks forward to making Ink a truly international publication, which will in its own way, work towards bridging the gap and dissolving the misconceptions between cultures of the East and West. No matter where we live, the world of entertainment, which transcends boundaries, proves that we can all unite.
