It will have 15 speakers, and 200 guests, both invited and also from ticket sales.

The ancient Silk Road was a web of trading routes that began in China and linked the East to the West for over 2000 years. The Silk Routes brought wealth, and diversity through the exchange of not only commodities but also, ideas, new innovations and cultures.

The new Silk Road is digital. It represents globalisation, the latest internet and mobile technologies, that connect billions. It is also about creative collaboration and digital innovation. It is discovery,social and technical innovation, inspiration and transformation, taking the old cultural heritage of innovation and trade exchange to the 21st century.
The New Silk Road is Digital. It is about Creativity and Innovation beyond borders: Physical borders, personal borders and technical borders. It is about connecting Technology of the West and Wisdom of the East. It is about the new rules of the global market place and new economy, It is about community activation through social networks.
Located in Istanbul, Turkey, a unique city at the cross-roads between the East & the West, TEDX SILK ROAD is a new context for dialogue.

Top level Turkish and international speakers and participants will debate & review the core values of Digital and Social Innovation, Cultural Exchange and Creative Collaboration, within the context of Silk Road cultural heritage.
