Kinnaird College hosted its first university-style TEDx event in February 2010, themed Believe in Tomorrow. The event was open to students and professionals alike and it was hosted at a time when educational institutes were undergoing an especially tough time in Pakistan. The conference attracted a diverse audience due to it's spectacular speaker line-up which saw students speak alongside veteran professionals such as Fasi Zaka and Omair Rana.

Omair Rana

Omair Rana has a diploma in Economics & Management from the LondonSchool of Economics. He is renowned for his active involvement in theDrama and Theater industry. He is the founder of Real Entertainment Productions, an English theater production company that extends its creative direction services to organizations and institutions alike. Omair Rana is doing his best in promoting talent and skill through plays and drama. He is also a visiting lecturer for Drama and Theater at Kinnaird College and Beaconhouse National University (BNU).

Anam Gill

Anam Gill is currently majoring in Mass Communication and is a senior at Kinnaird College for Women Lahore. She is a talented writer and apart from getting her work published in Dawn Magazine & the News, she has also written several poems and been published in the global anthology of International Library of Poetry. Moreover she has assisted journalists in the communications department at the World Council of Churches

Asim Fayaz

Asim Fayaz is a senior at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) majoring in Computer Science. He is the co-founder and COO of chOpaal.pk, a text messaging-based social networking service; a program he built from scratch

Huma Mirza

Huma Mirza is an educator and a technical advisor of Canada Pakistan Basic Education Project. She has been a supervisor implementing supportive interventions to improve quality education, increase opportunity and promote creativity and thinking. She has also served as a consultant at various posts including Pre Step-USAID, Development of National Guidelines for Youth and Adult Literacy & Book Development, The World Bank, Washington to name a few. Her publications include various teaching guides and textbooks.

Taimur Bandey

Taimur Bandey is an eminent professor of economics teaching in various institutions including Aitchison College, Beaconhouse National University and Resource Academia. Mr. Banday completed his MBA from National College of Business Administration and Economics in 1997 and further completed his Masters in International Relations and Political Theory from University of Westminster, London. He also holds an MPhil in Political Science from GCU Lahore. Apart from his academic qualifications Taimur Bandey is a respected figure in the Debating circle. He has been the President of the Debating Society of Pakistan since 2008 and is an Executive Committee Member of the World Schools Debates since 2007.
