In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Since ‘The Help Nepal Appeal’ was born, thousands of Nepali people have been helped and the charity has grown into a social platform to allow people from around the world to answer the cries for help throughout Nepal. She has travelled to more than 19 countries and has managed to raise funds to help people of Nepal from around the Globe. She has been presented with various awards. Since she founded the charity, Jody’s dedication has awarded her a Leadership Award, a Volunteer Hero Award from Federation University Australia, and the Award for Most Outstanding Community Contribution.
