In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Dane Carlson

Dane Carlson holds a Master of Landscape Architecture II from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the College of Architecture and Planning at Ball State University. His work is focused on transient materials, non-modern landscapes, sacred infrastructures, and the exploration and documentation of cultural geographies in South & Central Asia.

Matt Rockwell is a hacker, adventurer, dreamer, doer. He works for Burning Man and is the Founder/CEO of Disaster Hack.

Megh Ale

Transforming the way people understand the value and economic potential of Nepal’s rivers, Megh Ale is saving the rivers of Nepal through ecotourism, conservation, and cleanup through his organization, the Nepal River Conservation Trust. Megh is creating new opportunities for people in Nepal and all over the world to experience and benefit from Nepal’s rivers and waterways.

Sajal Pradhan

Sajal Pradhan builds safe and sustainable water systems with locally available resources in societies with water shortages. A scholar of sustainable development and a social entrepreneur her organization has constructed water systems for over 100,000 people in rural and urban Nepal since the Nepal Earthquake 2015. Currently, her research is focused on water economics.

Shail Shrestha

Shail Shrestha promoted non motorized urban mobility in Nepal. A graduate in media studies, he advocates for "Newari Cities, and vehicle-free settlements as the model of sustainable urbanization.
