In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Jim Haudan

For more than 20 years, he has been helping organizations unleash hidden potential by fully engaging their people to deliver on the strategies of the business.

Dr. Karen Dunlap

Dr. Karen B. Dunlap has devoted more than 30 years to the education of journalists. She is President Emeritus of The Poynter Institute. She is also a member of the Tampa Bay Times and Eckerd College boards. She has led seminars on writing throughout the nation and abroad, and is co-author of The Effective Editor with Foster Davis, and of The Editorial Eye with Jane Harrigan.

Dr. Edwin Weeber

Dr. Edwin Weeber is a Professor at the University of South Florida in the Department of Molecular Pharmacology and Physiology. He is Director of the Neurobiology of Learning and Memory, the Cellular Electrophysiology and the Murine Neurobehavior Laboratories. His research is conducted at the USF Health Byrd Alzheimer’s Research Institute, where he is currently the Chief Scientific Officer.

La Lucha

a Lucha is a Tampa Bay based trio that consists of three best friends from three different parts of the world; Colombia, Mexico & United States. Its members are Alejandro Arenas, bass; Mark Feinman, drums; and John O’Leary, piano. Their repertoire is a diverse mixture of Latin inspired rhythms with Jazz standards, twisted arrangements of pop songs and original compositions.
