We see a shift in society from a 'Command-and-Control' thinking to 'Connect-and-Collaborate', i.e. from hierarchy to networks. Bringing people together has value: we can inspire each other, learn from each other, be more productive and more efficient by looking what we have in common. The optimist sees we have a bright future ahead but, we also see people around us who are concerned, scared and don't understand the impact this shift has on their lives.
Bloemendaal and it's environment is the home to a significant large audience of people who have grown up in a Command-and-Control world, a lot who have/had leadership positions. Also people who realize we need to change/shift our thinking, our norms and values and have to position to make that happen. At this TEDx we want to link people to each other. See what we can learn from each other - organize serendipity!
