TEDxTartu brings together great minds to the City of good thoughts.
TEDx is known for its speakers from different streams of knowledge, giving the attendees the ultimate feel of the conference. TEDxTartu included speakers with diverse backgrounds - scientists, artists, performers, educationalists, policy makers, innovators, and entrepreneurs. We had an extraordinary lineup of speakers who focused on our everyday situations and possibilities to think differenty.

Jaan Aps is a well-known Estonian social entrepreneur. In his talk Jaan Aps will introduce a model for evaluating the effectiveness of social enterprises - a stock exchange for the 3rd sector.
Ülane Vilumets is a young entrepreneur who is keen on travelling. In her talk she will introduce her understanding of the tourism business in Estonia and offer some new ideas for everyone to keep in mind next time they travel or host a foreigner.

Aleksei Turovski is a very well known Estonian specialist in zoology, Aleksei's son Mattias is a student of Environmental Sciences. In their talk they will offer an answer to the question why we should not protect but rather just love nature.
Janno Puusepp is an Estonian writer and an actor who has a difficult illness. His talk is about how he deals with depression and how to overcome the difficulties of motivating oneself.
Jordan Valdma's talk is about his social service at the Foundation Maarja Village and the need to understand different type of people better.
Kristina Mägi is a dog trainer who introduces a new teaching method that has proven to work well also for autistic children with the lack of social skills.
Geert Bevin is a software engineer and musician who will present the software that he has created for the instrument he is playing.
Kalev Kaarna is the Head of the Idea Lab of the University of Tartu. He is an experienced mentor of inexperienced entrepreneurs. In his talk Kalev Kaarna is looking for an answer to the question who has the right to ask cool questions and how is this connected to developing new technologies.
Andero Uusberg is a Research Fellow in Experimental Psychology at the University of Tartu. His talk is about the ethics of influencing (via advertisments).
