Gero Miesenboeck arbeitet rückwärts - die Manipulation bestimmter Neuronen, um herauszuarbeiten, was diese exakt tun. Ihm gelingt dies mittels einer Serie verblüffender Experimente, in welcher Fruchtfliegen auf neuartige Weise Licht wahrnehmen.
