In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Chloe Le

6th grade student
Chloe is an empathetic older sister who is as thoughtful as she is powerful. She is passionate about ancient mythology, and she is an expert at making cross-cultural connections when innovating solutions to complex problems. Chloe plans to use the lessons she's learned from her own personal and academic journey to inspire and support her younger siblings as they encounter more difficult challenges in their lives.

Katelyn Fries

6th grade student
Katelyn is a meticulous problem solver and an active participant in her school community. She seeks out opportunities for leadership roles, and she speaks up to advocate for what she believes in. One of Katie's greatest strengths is her ability to feel emotions deeply and reflect on what she cares about, which allows her to make and implement meaningful plans.

Mia Murillo

6th grade student
Mia is an optimistic hard worker who knows what it takes to set and achieve her own goals. She is proud of her culture and loves to share that pride with others. She is a role model to younger students, leading by example when prioritizing family, academics, and striving to do the right thing. Mia has already achieved harmony and balance in her life, so she plans to spread hope and happiness to others.

Sierra Castillo

6th grade student
Sierra is an artist who is always looking for ways to make the world a better place. When she sees a need, she fills it, even when it's not an easy or convenient thing to do. Sierra's accomplishments go beyond scoring leading roles in acting productions or being chosen as a representitive for her school community. Her biggest accomplishment is the way that she makes others feel in her day-to-day interactions.
