Theme: Rupturas

The TEDxUFTM event with the theme "Rupturas" is an independently organized TED event hosted by the Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro (UFTM) in Brazil. The term "rupturas" translates to "ruptures" in English, and the theme explores various forms of breaking away from the norm, challenging the status quo, and initiating transformative changes in different aspects of society and personal life.

This event aims to bring together a diverse group of speakers, including academics, professionals, artists, and thought leaders, who will share their unique insights and experiences related to the concept of ruptures. These talks are designed to inspire, provoke thought, and encourage participants to think critically about the disruptions and innovations that shape our world.

Alvaro Junqueira

Innovator and Project Management Expert

Alvaro Junqueira, 49, is a passionate advocate for innovative projects. Hailing from Rio de Janeiro, he holds a degree in Computer Science from UFRJ, a Master's in Business Administration from EAESP/FGV, and a postgraduate degree in Technology from AUT in New Zealand. Since 2002, Alvaro has been a public servant for the State of São Paulo, specializing in innovation and project management. He is the co-author of PIM-Go - Product Integration Model, which compiles best practices for agile and hybrid projects. Additionally, Alvaro is a professor of project management in postgraduate programs and has extensive experience in leadership roles and entrepreneurship. His international experience includes founding a startup and working for a multinational company while living in the USA, Canada, and New Zealand.

Ana Gabryele Moreira

Physicist, Researcher, and Nuclear Advocate Leading Women in Nuclear Brazil

is a dedicated Medical Physicist, holding a Master's and pursuing a Doctorate in Sciences from the Nuclear Technology Program at the Institute of Energy and Nuclear Research (IPEN) at the University of São Paulo (USP). She specializes in Project Management from USP and has been a Marie Curie Fellow in the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) program in 2022. With expertise in brachytherapy for cervical cancer, she is also a member of the Nuclear Black Women Collective (MunaN). Currently serving as the President of Women in Nuclear Brazil (WiN Brasil), she represents Brazil on the Executive Committee of the global organization Women in Nuclear Global.
