These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

She is vice president of the Lauro de Freitas Women's Council and Advisor to the Municipal Council for the Promotion of Racial Equality (CMPIR). Furthermore, she is a member of the National Forum of Black Transvestites and Transsexuals (FONATRANS), where she contributes to actions and projects aimed at education, employability and harm reduction for the LGBTQIAP+ community.
