This TEDx Activator event took place in Manana youth educational center's office. TEDxCascade was a 2-hour event with 1 live speaker (a teenager from Manana center) and 4 pre-recorded TED Talks. Around 30 young people aged 12-18 attended the event, some of whom were already familiar with TEDTalks. Central theme of the talks was "creativity".

The "Manana" Youth Educational Cultural Center is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded in 1995. The center seeks to create the optimum environment for the overall spiritual, intellectual and physical development of children, building on their foundations for happy, healthy and safe lives.
Around 40 children aged 8-16 attend various media related after-school clubs - journalism, photography, film making, animation. The kids learn to produce newspapers, short movies, animations and photo projects all by themselves.
Manana's film making club is very well recognized among the international youth film/animation industry as the center's children have won numerous awards at international festivals. Kids attending the center are very creative and talented but not yet familiar with TED talks.
