As all living organisms do, humans are constantly growing and changing. Often times, the change is microscopic, and is only noticeable through the examination of adaptations from generation to generation. At the same time, we go through changes that aren't physical, and it's our mental state and perspective that broadens and matures. We open our eyes and our minds to see things from every point of view. Our opinions and philosophies become three dimensional, and we try to give life to abstract ideologies and aspirations. Whispers of thoughts become avalanches of inspiration, and words on paper become calls to action. Amos Alonzo Stagg High School's TEDx event encompasses all definitions and directions of growth, and discredits the idea that growth must be linear. Instead, we believe that growth is a spectrum, and people, especially young adults, will ponder their place on that spectrum. A hopeful side effect: realizing that you don’t have to lead an organization or picket at a rally to change the world; you simply must foster your own personal growth by progressively creating positive habits and pursuing your passions and interests. And so, Stagg’s TEDx event invites speakers who did just that to (hopefully) inspire young adults to follow their footsteps, and realize that there are many paths to success.
