St Leonards, New South Wales

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDxNorthernSydneyInstitute presents The Lightbulb Moment, an event featuring brilliant speakers, inspirational videos and mind-blowing conversation.

The Lightbulb Moment is about that flash of recognition, the moment when all the ducks line up and you are hit with an understanding that feels like truth.

We have all experienced the power of a single defining moment, a moment that becomes the delineation between what went before, and what came after.

It can be a moment of pure inspiration, a paradigm-shifting epiphany, or a new idea of such perfect clarity and simplicity that you can’t believe you hadn’t thought of it before.

Every Lightbulb Moment is different. What is the same is the light that is shed on previously dark corners, the illumination of hidden connections, so that suddenly the way forward is clear and bright.

These are the moments that define us. Individually, and together. They bring about change, they find solutions where before there were only problems, they break new ground and embody the best of being human – creative, purposeful, enlightened…
