Skyra Rideaux invites you to walk in her shoes as a black woman in predominantly white spaces.
Skyra Rideaux is a first generation college graduate and is known among her peers as an idea enthusiast. She was recently appointed by the Mayor-President of Lafayette,
Louisiana, to manage the Project Front Yard initiative where she is responsible for the government-wide coordination of cleanliness, beautification, and education activities. Skyra is a firm believer in servant leadership and has co-created several local projects that address inclusion, development, and civic engagement. Skyra is a 2015 Acadiana Top 20 Under 40 honoree, a graduate of Leadership Lafayette Class XVIII, and a current participant in Leadership Louisiana Class 2017. She was formerly a bomb-builder for the U.S. Navy.
