Pequena Casa da Criança, a non-profit institution founded in 1956 in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, offers free services and projects in the area of education and social assistance, serving an average of 600 people, including children, adolescents and the elderly. In 2016, the project started with the Group of Flutists and in 2018, the Small House of the Child started the project "Sowing Music, Building Peace and Citizenship," supported by Criança Esperança. The music project benefits 133 children in total, teenagers and youngsters, with free flute, violin, viola, cello, guitar, percussion and singing lessons. According to the development and performance of each student, they migrate to the main musical group, Orquestra Pequena Casa da Criança, composed of 30 children and adolescents between 10 and 18 years of age from Vila Maria da Conceição, in Porto Alegre.
