Being born with an eye misalignment condition, Muborak has always struggled to find her true identity. She shares her story of acceptance and self-compassion along with the struggles of having a lazy eye. Growing up with lazy-eye was a constant battle of ignoring the ailment and listening to uncalled comments about her condition, which made her self-conscious about her appearance.
She describes what was the life of living in constant expectation of the D-day, when she can get cosmetic surgery, and becomes “normal”, looking less like out of this world. However, the decision of eye surgery was not one of the easiest to make, or was it? She invites us to her current reality where we can experience the world of being a realist with a lazy eye.
