In Slovakia we are often complaining about health care and its poor-quality services. But if we look at it globally, our health care is much better than in half of the countries in the world. In countries like Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda is health care provided in extreme condition with low technical equipment.
Could this situation be changed with a young student of medicine?
Is it possible to reconcile demanding studies with the internal need to help?
We can find the answers in motivation to do things different and to approach life differently. For example, using technologies in a different way. To connect medicine with technologies and use their potential in the countries that we usually see only in pictures. One Slovak start-up decided to interconnect humanitarian aid with technology and to provide better health care. They invented a small portable medical device that can work wonders in prevention.
